There is always a debate when it comes to computer racing games. But since it is very hard to decide which computer racing game is the best, debating would be useless. For instance, one can think about Burnout Paradise PC as his best pick. But if he would ponder more, he may change his views. Hence, it pays to look back into the history of computer gaming.

You do not have to possess real vehicles or be in real locations to experience good racing. As a matter of fact, there are lots of games which are set in science fiction places, up to real vehicles and places, which may include land, sea and air vehicles.

Arcade-style racing games are now becoming popular with lots of gamers. This may be due to the fact that children can now use computers at an early age, compared with children twenty years ago.

With the introduction of the Pole Position by Namco in 1982, the history of computer racing games started. This was followed by lots of other games. However, many early games would agree that the best would be the NASCAR Racing Game I and the Formula One Grand Prix, Lotus III: The Ultimate Challenge. Hardcore driving Sims were completely replaced by full arcade games. The title of being the best PC racing game was passed from one racing game to another. There are lots of racing games which are worth mentioning.

The Burnout Paradise PC was mentioned earlier. But other racing games like the RACE 07, RACE, Official WTCC games, the Colin McRae Rally series and the Need for Speed games.

Some would claim that computer games are now becoming less and less popular, and some games released recently may confirm such idea. However, as long as the Microsoft Windows is still in existence, computer racing games would also still be around. The future of these games would rely on realistic handling and the addition of damage models in the arcade elements.  Nobody knows, people may be surprised if another kind of PC racing game would be developed, which would be a hit for most gamers. Perhaps, racing around the moon using rovers or any other space-related and futuristic racing games. There is an endless possibility for this. The good part about the debate on which computer racing game is the best, people would think about which one really is; and what would be better than playing games, right? In the first place, computer gaming does not matter whatever your age is; being young at heart is what matters.
